IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PILOTS, INSTRUCTORS, EXAMINERS AND ASPIRING PILOTS

The Transport Competence Agency (TKA), following recommendations from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) , has announced another exemption for the benefit of pilots, instructor pilots, examiners and aspiring pilots. Due to the spread of the COVID-19 infection and the imposed quarantine, the validity period of various permits and certificates and the period for training are extended.

For non-commercial pilots, the validity period of ratings and licenses, as well as 1st and 2nd class pilot medical certificates, is extended. The validity of pilot-instructor and examiner permits is also extended.

For commercial pilots, the deadline for updating flight skills is extended.

For those still learning to pilot, the deadlines for taking training and theory exams are extended.

The specific conditions of the exemption are specified in the 2020 April 1 the order of the director of TKA entered into force .

The exception is prepared according to the recommendations of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
