FOR MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATIONS

general information

Public Transport Competence Agency is the designated competent authority that performs the certification and supervision of maintenance organizations for aircraft and their components. Maintenance organizations can be certified according to:

  1. Regulation of the European Commission no. 1321/2014 “On the continuing airworthiness of aircraft and the suitability for use of aviation products, parts and devices and the approval of organizations and employees performing these tasks” Annex I (Part M) Subsection F;
  2. Regulation of the European Commission no. 1321/2014 “On the continuing airworthiness of aircraft and the suitability for use of aviation products, parts and devices and the approval of organizations and employees performing these tasks” Annex II (Part 145)
  3. By order of the Director of the Civil Aviation Administration no. 4R-63 approved maintenance requirements for civil aircraft used for non-commercial purposes.

Approval certificates issued in accordance with the standards specified in point 1 or 2 give organizations the right to perform maintenance work on aircraft/components for aircraft/components installed in the aircraft that are registered in the civil aircraft register of European Union member states or EASA member states.

Approval certificates issued to the standard specified in point 3 entitle organizations to perform maintenance work on aircraft/components for aircraft/components installed in the aircraft that are registered in the Republic of Lithuania.
