Important information for pilots, instructors, examiners and pilots in training

Transport Competence Agency is following the recommendations of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and has issued exemption for pilots, instructors, examiners and pilots in training. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and quarantine imposed in Lithuania, the validity of various permits and certificates are extended. Also, the training period is prolonged.

For pilots not engaged in commercial activities, the validity of the qualification and ratings are extended, as well as medical certificates. The validity of pilot-instructor and examiner ratings are also extended.

For commercial pilots, the deadline for updating flight skills is extended.

For pilots in training, the terms of training and the time to take theory exams are extended.

Special conditions of the exemption are in line with EASA recommendations. Also, they are specified in the order of the director of Transport Competence Agency. The exemption is valid from March 16th until July 31st, 2020.
