AIRWORTHINESS MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATIONS

general information

Public Transport Competence Agency is the designated competent authority for certification and supervision of aircraft airworthiness continuity management organizations. Organizations of this type are certified according to:

  1. Regulation of the European Commission no. 1321/2014 “On the continuing airworthiness of aircraft and the suitability for use of aviation products, parts and devices and the approval of organizations and employees performing these tasks” Annex I (Part M), subsection G;
  2. Regulation of the European Commission no. 1321/2014 “On the continued airworthiness of aircraft and the suitability for use of aviation products, parts and devices and the approval of organizations and employees performing these tasks” Annex Va (Part T)

The approval certificate entitles organizations to carry out airworthiness management tasks and, if applicable, carry out airworthiness checks on aircraft and make a recommendation to the National Aviation Authority of the State of Registry of the aircraft for the issuance of a periodic airworthiness review certificate and the issuance of a periodic airworthiness review certificate

An organization seeking to obtain an air carrier certificate must also be approved to carry out airworthiness management tasks.
