WE INVITE AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE PROFESSIONALS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EASA SURVEY

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is inviting aircraft maintenance professionals to participate in a special survey ” Post COVID-19 Ramp-Up: Be Ready, Stay Safe (Maintenance Engineers Skills and Competencies Erosion Survey) “.

The COVID-19 pandemic, which raged in early 2020, created many challenges for the aviation industry. Due to the severe reduction in air traffic, most aviation professionals, including aircraft maintenance specialists, were no longer able to continue their normal work. In addition, training could no longer take place in the usual order for aviation specialists, so many of them, upon returning to work, may face difficulties trying to understand new systems and procedures. All this led to a decline in the competences and knowledge of aviation specialists and raised new security threats related to this situation.

Through its research, EASA wants to determine the rationale behind this problem and, together with interested parties, find the most effective ways to solve the problem.

The questionnaire consists of less than 10 questions and will take participants less than 10 minutes to complete.
